What to
expect
We know that our raft building activity is great fun whilst delivering great learning outcomes and as a result, we have developed buggy building to be a closely linked activity, but one that takes place on dry land! We use a variety of equipment (wooden spars, polythene barrels, ropes etc) and ask groups to work together to design, build and drive a working buggy capable of transporting their team across a set course.
The critical skills of Teamwork, Problem Solving and Leading and Supporting are key elements to the success of this complex task requiring the whole group to participate.
