British Canoeing
Gold Delivery Partner Established in 1936, British Canoeing is a national governing body for canoeing in the United Kingdom. Kingswood deliver canoeing experiences to campers according to BC's approved code of practice and use their National Governing Body award to qualify staff and apprentices.

British Fencing is the National Governing Body for the Olympic and Paralympic Sport of Fencing in the British Isles. Kingswood is the Official Resilience Partner of British Fencing, meaning that the fencing sessions offered across all centres will be delivered under British Fencing’s ‘We Are Forging Futures’ framework, an Ofsted-aligned, resilience and self-efficacy programme designed to build confidence in young people through fencing-based activities. Kingswood are also responsible for hosting and training British Fencing coaches in the new lesson format.

Equalinks mission is to engage communities to strive for equality and equitable solutions. Working with Equalinks has allowed Kingswood to break down barriers to the BAME community to give them the trust to try activities, school trips and NCS for the first time. As part of this partnership, Kingswood have hosted community events and helped to provide outdoor adventure experiences for underrepresented communities.

Kingswood is accredited by the IOL's Apprentice Activity Leader Training Programme. This means that we as an OAE provider support professional standards in outdoor learning have professional and ethical codes in place, and that our activity instructors are are skilled and knowledgeable in the subject and in teaching. IOL Course Accreditation is an external, professional, quality assurance process.

Loud Speaker's dynamic seminars and workshops champion young people by giving them the skill set to meet and make opportunties - giving them the tools to "speak out and speak their best". They deliver several of Kingswood's modules on employability, social action and life skills.

We work with the National Citizen Service to deliver government-funded outdoor adventure learning experiences for young people. These programmes are designed specifically to help young people on their journey into adulthood. The itineraries combine outdoor adventure and skill-based learning to boost confidence, build resilience and develop the life skills they need to succeed in their personal, accademic and profession lives.

Sea Cadets is the UK’s largest maritime youth charity, established in 1856 and working in over 400 units with 14,000 cadets. As part of this partnership, Kingswood hosts the Sea Cadets' biannual national camps for training and drills.

In 2023, Kingswood's parent company, Inspiring Learning, established a unique academic partnership with Sheffield Hallam University. This reciprocal relationship includes the appointment of Inspiring Learning's Head of Learning and Learning, Dr John Allan as a Visiting Fellow to the university’s Institute of Education and Business School. There are a range of research projects and teaching and learning initiatives which will formulate this partnership. This includes vocational work experience opportunities for students, the establishment of PhD and Masters studentships evaluating the efficacy of Inspiring Learning’s adventure education programmes, joint research bids and guest lectures. The partnership has already generated research outcomes. This includes the publication of an Impact Analysis of the highly successful National Citizenship Service series of Winter Residential Programmes delivered and evaluated by IL and SHU.

The Skills Builder Universal Framework is a transformative approach to building the essential skills of individuals throughout their lives, in education and employment. In 2023, Kingswood's key programmes for schools were awarded Skills Builder Impact Level 3, which means they successfully deliver development of all eight essential skills - listening, speaking, problem solving, creativity, staying positive, aiming high, leadership and teamwork. Most importantly, we understand the lifelong impact that this framework can have on young people, and so our staff are fully trained to deliver activities that are matched to specific learning outcomes Powered by 800 leading organisations across education and employment, the Framework has now been backed by the UK government in statutory guidance. The Partnership now has a touchpoint with 75% of UK secondary schools and colleges, as well as being adopted by a growing range of businesses.

The lanugage module of the Kingswood 'English in Action' programme is expertly delivered by UK Language Courses (UKLC) using a combination of methodologies including Task-Based Learning, practice with Skills and Systems, and Content and Language Integrated Learning. Upon completion, every English in Action participant receives a certificate of English language course attendance and a final report of their progress.

Kingswood partnered with UKSA on a bespoke programme for the Isle of Wight centre - Woodland and Waves - that combines the best residential experiences across land and sea.
