A home away
from home

A residential experience with us is all-inclusive, with meals, accommodation and bedding included with your stay. Our daily housekeeping checks ensure that everything stays clean and comfortable.

Our accommodation options vary from centre to centre, including 2-16 bed dormitories, adventure lodges and eco cabins. All dormitories are gender-separated and bathrooms are either en suite or communal and close by. All our centres have accessible accommodation

For teachers and group leaders

A residential is an exciting time for your young people, but we want you to enjoy the trip as much as possible too. That's why all our centres have a dedicated group leader lounge fully decked out to give you space to relax, reconnect or catch up on some work.

Group leader rooms are all single or twin, and fully-equipped with amenities like tea and coffee making to allow you to feel at home in your accommodation.

Safeguarding and
wellbeing

We understand the importance of providing a safe space for adventure, and Kingswood proudly maintains an environment that allows us to have a positive impact on the lives of young people, whilst protecting them from harm.

Every Kingswood centre is independently inspected by the British Activity Providers Association (BAPA) and accredited by Adventuremark.

Every centre also holds a Quality Badge from the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, the only national award assessing both the quality of risk management and educational provision.

Every member of staff, including office-based roles, has an Enhanced DBS check; all centres have at least three fully trained designated safeguarding leads; and the designated Duty Manager and first-aiders are on call 24 hours a day.

Robust
risk management

All aspects of our operation are subject to risk assessment by our own in-house team. These are individuals who are qualified and experienced in outdoor education, adventurous activity and health and safety.

The content of the risk assessments are subject to further review and scrutiny by external Technical Advisors, statutory regulators and inspectors from the British Activity Providers Association.

All of our risk assessments are reviewed on an annual basis as a minimum but may be subject to additional review and updates following incidents, external inspections, feedback from user groups or changes to operational practices.
